ENERGY CODE CHANGES IN THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE

As of March 15, 2012, Florida will have a separate code devoted to Energy. The chart shows the criteria that must be met.

Insulated glass along with low-e coatings or some tints such as solar cool will be required to meet the new energy code values. Nearly all PGT products, whether aluminum or vinyl, have many glass options that comply with this new code.
Check the NFRC values before purchasing windows and leave the temporary label on the product for county field inspections.
